STEP 2 – CALL
Call and discuss your goals, available training time, and athletic background. Discuss what type of devices you have on your bike to help you achieve your goals with Kinetic Loop Methodology.
STEP 3 – FIELD TEST
Schedule a time to perform your field test local or remote to determine your power and heart rate training zones. The Field Test is a great way for us to better understand your unique physiological abilities.
STEP 4 – ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS
Throughout your training, we will review power training data with you, and create a periodization plan based on your goals to help you achieve success.

The Kinetic Loop Power Based Coaching Way
I first came to know Mike through a triathlete/Leadville 100 friend. A year and a half later I came to call him Coach. It started with a simple bike fit. Then later a group ride. On the way home that day Mike says, “If you get a power meter and I’ll show you how to improve on your fitness.” I’m thinking, “I’m fit…” I ride 10 Gran Fondos a year (Levi’s, Tour of San Diego, T of Palm Springs, Honolulu Century, Cure this-that-and the-other). I don’t need numbers, I tell myself it’ll just take the fun out of my rides. Several Gran Fondos and centuries later I began to wonder just how much more I could accomplish. My best century at that time was 5’17”, I wanted sub 5hrs.
Soon enough friends encouraged me to enter Cat 5 Criterium races. So after consulting Mike once more I made the investment in equipment, in time and in a coach. I didn’t want to compete alone. My first improvements in fitness training were really surprising. Mike devised a 5 min hill repeat routine based on power meter watts to maintain. Results came fast, within a month I saw a 25% increase in power output. My Functional Threshold increased too. After resetting workouts to my new power ranges the results continued to come along with fun Strava PR’s, Cups and the occasional KOM. I train on all the local rides and mountains. To perform at my best Mike helps me to analyze and evaluate the hardest criterium’s, road races, team races and just recently my first Maui Stage Race (TT, CR, RR). Together we have put down great results in Arizona, SoCal, and Hawaii. I have been stretching, strength training and racing under Mike’s guidance for 13 months now. He helped me to achieve my Cat 4 upgrade inside of 6 months. Since February this year I have completed half my required results to become Cat 3. With Mike I have stepped on the podium 5 times and top ten finished 10 times.
