As an athlete I always looked for the cutting edge in training and try to find a coach to guide me. I had worked with Dave Brinton, Eileen Olsen, and Dr Massimo Testa. In 2004 I left the sport of cycling to pursue my second passion education. The sport of cycling was my drive to acquire the knowledge through college and experience in the field of exercise science to help athletes achieve optimal performance. I completed my bachelors in 2006 at California State University of Dominguez Hill in Kinesiology. While at Dominguez Hills is received the Ronald E McNairs Scholarship to pursue research and education. Before I graduate at Dominguez I was offered an opportunity to work with Mike Boyle at Athletes Performance in Carson, Ca. There I introduced the techniques used in cycling to Mike Boyle. I was introduced to his training techniques used on their athletes.
In June of 2006 I went to University of Northern Colorado where I pursued a Master degree in Exercise Science emphasis in Biomechanics. While at UNC I did research on exercises training for the elderly with Dr Ann Bentz. The goal of the research was how to increase life and decrease broken hip syndrome. After the research was completed I then was accepted to attend the Chris Carmichael Coaching residency program. While working at CTS I learned from the best coaches Craig Griffin, Dean Golich, Jim Lehman, and Chris Carmichael. After the residency was complete I was offered a job by the National Academy of Sports Medicine where I am now the Education content developer and reopened my coaching company Kinetic Loop Training System.
Kinetic Loop Training System was designed in 2006. While I was an undergraduate I was inspired to write articles on injury prevent and training for athletes. While working on my college work I sought after certifications in a variety of training techniques from (Mike Boyle, Mike Clark NASM, Paul Chek, and Pavel Tsatsouline AKA “Comrade” ) to give me the edge on coaching and training. I believe my experience and education gave me the edge to be a well rounded coach
Golich, Craig Griffin, Jim Lehman, and
Chris Carmichael,) help set me apart from the rest of the coaches.
